Perhaps one of the biggest growing trends for corporations having a holiday event is to host the event in their office space. Ropes & Gray partnered with MMEink and its creative team to transform their office space located on the 38th floor of the News Corp building into a spectacular holiday event. For this year’s event MMEink created the office space at Ropes & Gray to represent a Coney Island circus themed holiday event.
When guest arrived off the elevator on the 38th floor they made there way down the 75ft red carpet accented with lighting and prop design to create the feeling as if you were entering a real live circus. The main reception area was transformed using a combination of props, draping and lightning to set the ambience for the holiday event. A special interaction was added to the event with real carnival booths providing interactive vintage games in which guests could play for a chance to win raffle tickets which would later be used to redeem a prize.
In order to recreate the main conference office space into the events reception area, MMEink provided a combination of event services. The reception space was created using lighting, propping and event design. A large 14ft old fashioned NYC Bar was brought in for main room bar service while whiskey barrel high boy tables were used with lounge furniture to create the space. Guests enjoyed great music at the event from our DJ and live dueling piano act. If dancing or music isn’t your thing you probably found yourself venturing outside the reception space into many of the small break out offices which were used to create special engagement for guests. Some of the many activities included a caricaturist, super cool open air photo booth, and a palm reader.
